looking at the top ranking person on each map and assuming they started right near the beginning, It looks like one comes out every 2 months with the last one tecova coming out in july so that would mean one would come out soon now in september if the current start of new maps is continued

It would be cool to have 2 more maps at once, one of them smaller and quick like the last 2 and one thats epic, like Notho that is ending soon. I cant beleive I've been playing that one for 9 months!

i hope one comes out soon also. it would be cool to see one with a bunch of small islands were you start and you need to go out to the sea to expand. it would be hard but fun [/tng]

There was one like this on the map creator thread. Not organic islands, necessarily, but islands with the whole out-to-sea thing.

Well, until we get more realistic maps I think I am done with the game. I don't have hours to micro manage my units. Plus I prefer the maps that resemble actual land masses.

Maybe next year

If you play one world it takes you hours? or are you playing multiple maps? I can set my moves in way less time but I can do definitely all in an hour. why so long?

Did you look at the new map? Perpetual moves will be useless. And yes, I have spent hours planning and executing my move on a normal map that size. Not in the beginning, but once you reach a certain size it takes a while. And if you are fighting on multiple fronts it becomes more of a resource management issue so more planning than executing.

Its really is just a preference for semi-real looking maps. I like the organic nature of those type maps. Based on this current map, they might as well make one that is 100% land with no water.

Or I would love to see the A map brought back but with less water. ( This is for Johnny is he is reading the boards)

If you have issues with the map, make your own. Johnny is always looking for new submitions.

The aim of this map was to change the way this game was played, it will be much more challenging and yes it removed the ability to use perpetual attack. It will challenge all players to learn a new sytle of playing this game.

If you cant accept the challenge then dont play, but for others this will offer a change of style and allow newer players to start without the fear of Veteran players steamrolling over them.

I've submitted two realistic-looking maps to Johnny, but have not gotten a response. Maybe the messages did not send, or he prefers to give someone else a try, since he has already used two of my maps. ?

I have a giant real-looking map the size of Cerato too. ;)

Actually you can check them out on my profile pictures. Two two realistic-looking maps have larger bodies of land and are not extremely sea-oriented.

For myself, I enjoy doing whatever king of map there is. I'm just taking a break for a bit, so no new maps for me.

Sorry, Rick!! I did get the e-mails. They're still flagged in my inbox, and it was one of those things where I was planning on replying when I got a chance and then they got buried. I just never have time these days.

I haven't looked at the large map in detail yet, but I did like the first one I saw. That will probably be the next world, which I plan on adding very soon. (My ideal is to have them up more more often than I've been creating them lately.)

Any chance maybe of making one that makes the moves in the afternoon instead of late at night?

I figured that could also be a factor too. A busy schedule definitely comes first over a game (even if the game is awesome). Some of us are lucky enough to fit this game into our day. Take your time. :)
