Quick fix to help new players

It is fair to say that a lot of new players tend to play a map or two, get eaten up on both, then quit. Sometimes I have extended a treaty to a newer player so I don't have to fight them (or so they can live to enjoy the game). Then I wait and they never accept it. I think many new players don't know how to accept treaties or extend them.

I propose that a quick fix be made to the menu, for the sake of new players. I propose that the treaty button under the tools menu be moved to the main screen and colored yellow or something. What way newer players can notice it and accept treaties. This would cause the turnover rate to go down, and newer players can enjoy a few games of not getting eaten up in the first week or two.

It's a quick fix and could improve player retention.

What do you think?

good idea. I have always hated the treaty mechanism. The treaty alert emails should be like the alliance ones where there is a link to accept the treaties rather than having to find the country and clicking on a sector.
