Ok maybe a total "newb" question, but how do you join an alliance/get people into your alliance? i cant get into my friends and he cant get me into his. every time i try to request to join his alliance it flips to the "HAL" alliance and says "HAL is an invite-only alliance."

ok next question how do you remove your self from a dead alliance?

South Island Pact was what I was in and would like to be removed since it is a dead alliance.

I wish we could all see who is in an alliance.

ok now that i have my alliance together can we travel over each others' territory without conquering it? Or do i have to let them go through and then re-capture the sector? Thanks

you can- sometimes. the creator of the alliance gets to decide what aspect is public. it can be completely public, just the creator is public, or all members are public.

personally, i think that they should be completely public, showing all members all the time. that way, you would be able to see everyone in a specific alliance, and decide which one you want to join- should they choose to let you in.

you have to give up land and then reclaim it. it's tedious, but i'm sure this simplifies a lot of coding. the only way to move your units is by using the "attack" function.

and technically, they can attack straight through your land, and you can just reclaim it. the only way that they wouldn't be able to move through your spaces is if you had a standing treaty with them.

Exactly. In that case, you'd have to use the "vacate" option on your sectors to allow the other person to pass through. They then will have to do the same so that you can take it back (hopefully). [/tng]

I left the visibility options in there because I already had it coded that way for groups (in the Users section). I personally would be fine either way. How does everyone else feel? If people seem to agree, I'd be fine changing it.

After the alpha (or as it nears), I may put together a survey (and ask all of you for question suggestions) that I'll e-mail to all players to see how they feel about many aspects of the game.
