feature request. an option with the pinning feature that allows for the pin to follow a land unit/sea unit as it moves.

That would allow enemies to tag units as they're created at the bases and easily follow them throughout the map, which I think would make the game worse.

I gotta agree. I can how it would be quite cool in some ways, but it also would eliminate surprises of any kind (which are already few given there's no fog of war).

BTW, I'm totally loving being able to see ally pins in zoom. Overlapping pins takes some paying attention to manage, but it's still a great improvement to information sharing among allies.

I love seeing allied pins in zoom view too. That was a great fix, Johnny.

I agree wholeheartedly with both the ability to see alliance pins in zoom and not having sticky pins.. but, it would be nice to be able to manually move a pin instead of pin/delete/pin/delete...

This way the text tag moves with the pin...

I see your point and you may be right. although most people just move the pins daily anyways to follow targets, i thought it would just be one less thing to take up time for the players.
and there isn't a fog of war, so sticky pins and/or anything visual is just making the interface easier and time saving. isnt it?
thanks for the feedback, peace.

"Pin Moving" (Auto-Cut Paste?) That sounds like a nice compromise! Cause not only do you have to delete and replace, but you have to copy and paste the text if special notes were made. So it doesn't encourage note maintenance.

Not too horrible of a compromise, add two pin hotkeys for "Copy Pin" and "Paste Pin" where (for instance, C and P is hotkeys)

*holds C down and clicks on an existing pin* The pin has been copied, text and all.
*holds P down and clicks on any empty sector* The pin has been pasted, text and all.

I could see this being useful when mass-labeling base locations instead of having to type "Base this and that" every time.

But I'm okay if this feature never get applied. Not necessarily that difficult to copy/paste the current way.

Excellent idea! I'd probably do "cut pin" and "paste pin," though, since it would make moving pins very fast.

It also can work as a copy that way. If you want to do a paste of the same pin and comment over many sectors, you can cut the original and then start the set by pasting it right back.
