So, despite telling myself four worlds is WAY too much for me to play, I cannot resist the sexiness that is Lexovis. Land on edges? HELL YEAH. Rivers all over the place making bridges actually useful? HELL YEAH.

However, about half of the color options are already disabled (used by someone else) so my suggestion is to add more colors. It may have been plentiful back in the beta where there weren't that many players to start with, but with the growing popularity of this game, I think more colors is a must.

Just look at some worlds, there are players that look practically identical in colors and it's becoming an increasing problem. (Heck, we already got two same-colored countries next to each other in Lexovis)

I don't have specific colors in mind, but a wider collection of colors to work with would be great (or allow us to submit hex codes for custom colors?)

Psst, if you need color ideas, this is my favorite site for it:

More colors are welcome. I like the idea.

Colors with too much saturation can be extremely harsh on the eyes when you're staring at a screen full of it, and colors that are too dark or light can make objects on top of them be difficult to distinguish. So, I chose a range of colors in about the same range of saturation and brightness and then adjusted the hue to make them distinguishable enough.

Also, the images used in the game are prerendered, which is why I need a predetermined array of colors.

When I get a chance, I'll play around with the palette a bit and see if I can squeeze a few more functional colors out of it.

I would also add that the current color palette is extremely difficult for color-blind users to distinguish. Keeping things in "same range of saturation and brightness" is a recipe for disaster for color blind people. And, FWIW, that can be up to 10% of adult men (myself included). I had a serious problem on Fulgur where my alliance partner Too Sauer looked identical to our mutual adversary, Andalusia.
