I like the email alerts -- I have a request for a small change that would make a big difference. If the subject line changed on every alert then gmail (and other mail programs) would not crunch all messages from your system into one thread. This would make it easier to see when you have gotten new messages that require attention.

For example the subject could be "New note #18752" instead of just "New note"

I like it the way it is, especially using Gmail. Every little senseless alert is kept in a nice conversation and doesn't spam my entire page. If necessary, make this suggestion an optional feature because I would hate for the change to happen.
