after the complaint that there wasn't enough land on ankylo, all the next maps seem to be progressing further and further from the inclusion of water on them.

75% of the earth's surface is covered by water. i can understand the call for more islands on the map after ankylo, but i think it kills the fun when you are only a journey of a day or two from invading your neighbour across the water.

*cerato isn't included in this. just the small maps. on cerato, it's a haul across most waterways simply because of the size of the map.

I tried creating more land (about half of the sectors) as well as more waterways to see how the gameplay goes.

I'll always be mixing things up, though, so I expect I'll return to a layout with more water in a future world.

And feedback helps, of course, so thank you and keep it coming!

A map FULL of small land masses and lots of oceans could be interesting......

It depends on what you find enjoyable in this game. I only play on the small maps because I find land grabbing incredibly boring. My fun comes from war; the strategy, the tactics, everything. The closer my next opponent is, the better. Waiting a week (at the least) just to get to the front lines? No thanks.
